Pistachio Day is one of the best days for all pistachio lovers to indulge in a wonderful snack that is tasty as well as healthy in many respects. National Chocolate Covered Nuts Day: A day to celebrate a popular sweet across the world

The sole reason behind celebrating this day is to make a popular sweet more popular across the world. Nuts and fruits have been dipped into chocolate since the 19th century. The first nut covered chocolate was sold in America in 1925 and Goobers was the first brand to do so.  Coated nuts are enjoyed as a snack while watching movies, alongside popcorn. It is not very certain when chocolate-covered peanuts were given their day but it is an unofficial festival in the US. Many nut brands can be purchased from the market.  Although, it is cheap and fun to try making them on your own. One has to melt some chocolate in a pan and add some nuts and stir it and cool them down before consumption. One can enjoy the day by going nuts all over.

February month is considered to be very special in the Rotary calendar because it marks the first anniversary of Rotary meeting which is observed as World Peace and Understanding Day on February 23 every year.  On this day, Rotary International Board asks all the Rotary clubs to plan special programs for weekly meetings and take up special activities for promoting goodwill and understanding which is very much important for world peace.  Peace and understanding in modern world is much required than before as we have connected with the world really well through technology and various other sources. Rotary has always tried to bring this kind of peace and understanding in the world through its various projects.  The day actually gives a chance to every Rotary member to pause, think and promote peace, goodwill and understanding among people across the world. World Scout Day: A day to celebrate the birthday of Scout founder

World Scout Day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of its founder Robert Baden Powell. His grave in Kenya is a pilgrimage site for all the scouts. Baden Powell rewrote Aids to Scouting for the younger generation.  He took few boys with him to try out the scouting skills which ultimately came out in the form of a handbook Scouting for Boys. The scouting groups slowly grew in the British Commonwealth and it consisted of boys only. Girl scouts were made much later. On this day, one can learn more about scouting and what exactly does a scout do. There have been many books, texts and references which can help you in enriching your knowledge about scouting. 

International Mother Language Day: A day to promote native languages all across the world

International Mother Language Day recognizes the fact that multilingualism and languages can help in the advancement of inclusion and Sustainable Development Goals focus on leaving no one behind.  UNESCO believes that education based on a mother tongue or first language must start from early years as early education and childhood care is the core of learning. This year, the day will call upon educators, teachers, families, policymakers and parents to raise their commitment towards multilingual education.  The discussion will also focus upon including education to advance education recovery keeping in mind COVID 19. It is very important to safeguard linguistic diversity across the world as it is one of the factors which separates us and gives us a different identity.  To celebrate this day in a better way, one can learn more about different languages across the world and make their future generation understand its importance and significance. 

World Day of Social Justice: A day for granting justice to all

T he sole aim behind celebrating World Day of Social Justice is to recognize and promote social justice which includes efforts to deal with issues like exclusion, poverty, gender equality human rights, unemployment and social protections.  Many international organizations, like the International Labour Organization, American Library Association and the United Nations make statements on social justice for everybody. Some organizations present plans for greater social justice by dealing with economic and social exclusion, unemployment and poverty.  The day has been officially declared by the United Nations General Assembly. The students are taught about various forms of social injustice and ways to tackle it. On this day, we can learn more about social injustices happening in the world and try to remove them to the best of our abilities. 

Shivaji Jayanti: A day to honour a leader who united the country in one thread

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was one of the best leaders born in India. He was perhaps one of the bravest souls who never feared anything and anybody and did whatever he felt right for the nation. He shook the Mughal Empire to its core and started Maratha rule.  He captured Torna, Kondana and Raigad forts at a very young age which proved his power and strength. National Productivity Day: A day which helps in increasing your productivity

National Productivity Day is celebrated by the National Productivity Council to motivate stakeholders for implementing productivity techniques and tools. NPC or National Productivity Council is an organization which promotes production in India.  It was established in 1958 by the Ministry of Industry, Government of India. It is an autonomous and non-profit organization which has been registered under Societies Registration Act. International day of Women and Girls in Science

The tough times of COVID - 19 have taught us that a female researcher play an important role in the research and development of different vaccines which in turn plays a major role in saving the mankind from any further destruction.  The COVID also had a negative impact on all the female scientists especially those who started out and were thrown into this muddle. There are many new policies, initiatives and mechanisms being opted for helping out women and girls in the field of science.  The event will take place online and will gather all then female scientists who have contributed towards fighting against the pandemic. National De Worming Day: A day to keep you helathy by removing all intestinal worms

National De Worming Day is celebrated to remove intestinal worms which are commonly known as Soil-Transmitted Helminths. These worms are commonly found in children and these parasites live in intestines and consume all the nutrients that toddler consumes.  The worms feed on the physical body and lay many eggs every year in the body. The day was celebrated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to deworm children across the country and it is celebrated on February 10 and August 10 every year to vaccinate children against the worms.  On this day, one can vaccinate their child against these worms and learn more about them by visiting hospitals and medical centres to prevent further infection of others because of the worms. 

Safer Internet Day: A day to protect oneself from all the malicious activities on internet

The main reason for celebrating Safer Internet Day is to understand the dark world of the internet and move away from the same. Internet is both a boon and disgust for mankind. International Development Week: A week to promote development of all

International Development Week or IDW is an initiative established annually in 1991. It is held in the first full week of February from 7th to 13th of the month. It engages Canadians on global issues. Female genital mutilation or FGM involves the procedures which include injuring or altering the female genitalia for non-medical reasons and is considered to be a grave offence as it violates human rights and integrity and health of a female.  The girls who undergo genital mutilation suffer from short term complications like shock, excessive bleeding, severe pain, infections and difficulty in passing urine as well as face long term consequences affecting their mental, sexual and reproductive health.  Though the mutilation is common in the Middle East and Africa, it also extends to Latin America and few countries in Asia. National Weatherman's Day or National Weatherperson's Day is a day celebrated in the United States of America. The main reason behind celebrating World Cancer Day is to raise awareness about cancer and encourage its detection, prevention and treatment. The day is celebrated to reduce this illness in a great manner and death caused by cancer.  It also rallies the international community to end the injustice of preventable who are suffering from cancer. It raises awareness, reduces stigma and targets misinformation. Everybody might have loved when our parents used to read aloud bedtime stories in childhood. Indian Coast Guard Day: A day when centralized agency for search and rescue in India was established

Indian Coast Guard is a search, rescue and maritime law enforcement agency that protects the maritime interests of India and enforces the maritime laws of the country.
