Central Excise Day: A day to encourage excise department employees to carry on their duties fruitfully
Central Excise Day is celebrated with the sole aim to encourage employees of the excise department to carry out the central excise duties in a better way all across the country and prevent corruption in the manufacturing of goods and implement other rules to carry out the best excise services.
To mark this occasion many workshops, seminars, cultural and educational events, competitions, awareness programs and award ceremonies are conducted all over the country. Higher authorities and concerned departments also run awareness programs.
Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs is an authority of India which is responsible for the proper administration of Central Excise, Service Tax, Customs, Narcotics and Goods and Services Tax or GST.
