The sole aim behind celebrating World Day of Social Justice is to recognize and promote social justice which includes efforts to deal with issues like exclusion, poverty, gender equality human rights, unemployment and social protections.
Many international organizations, like the International Labour Organization, American Library Association and the United Nations make statements on social justice for everybody. Some organizations present plans for greater social justice by dealing with economic and social exclusion, unemployment and poverty.
The day has been officially declared by the United Nations General Assembly. The students are taught about various forms of social injustice and ways to tackle it. On this day, we can learn more about social injustices happening in the world and try to remove them to the best of our abilities.
