Aranyak Web Series Review: A bland series which is saved by the lead actors

Aranyak marks the debut of Raveena Tandon in digital space and alongside her, we get to see Parambrata Chatterjee as the protagonist. The story of the series is set in a beautiful and cold hill station called Sironah. It shows the life of two completely different police officers. Angad is a police officer who comes from the city and has very different problem-solving skills while Kasturi is a local police officer who is very friendly and is aware of everything going on in the town. The rest of the story is about how these two contrast natured police officers will work together in solving a crime.  Sironah is a town where everybody keeps on hiding something or the other. Everybody goes into tension when a crime occurs after 19 years The series is inspired by Asur but is not based on it. The series can be watched only because of the wonderful performances by the lead actors and the wonderful location.

Whistleblower Web Series Review: Good series with bad writing

Ritwik Bhowmik after entertaining people as Radhe in Bandish Bandits is back in action with Whistleblower. The series is based on Vyapam scam which occurred in Madhya Pradesh and was exposed in 2013. The show is told from the point of view of the whistleblower who is on a mission to expose the racket.  The students who sit in Pre Medical Tests and other such entrance exams where a student's future is determined by powerful state politicians and public servants who give seats to the undeserving candidates in exchange for large amounts of money.  Although the series is based on the scam the writing of the series puts it down. When Scam 1992 was released on SonyLiv it created a sensation but the series despite having a great star cast failed to create such kind of sensation.  The star cast of the series cannot save the series as well. Ritwik's performance is praiseworthy which moves us otherwise the series is not an outstanding one. It can be watched by those who wish to understan

Decoupled Web Series Review: A series which is both interesting and boring simultaneously

India's favourite chocolate boy Madhavan or as we know him Maddy is back with Punjabi cinema's famous heroine Surveen Chawla for a web series called Decoupled. The series is already streaming on Netflix and offers an interesting insight into the lives of modern couples. The story does not show how celebrity author Arya Iyer and finance manager Shruti Sharma Iyer meet and fall in love. The narrative starts with the couple fighting in the car when the husband is going to the airport which sets the tone for all the other episodes. The series has both the elements of marriage politics as well as humour. The show is quite relatable with the common audiences as it shows how couples behave after marriage and the silly reasons at times that leads to their separation.  The web series also shows how social media can negatively influence people's lives. It also shows differences between well-developed flats of Delhi, Noida and Gurugram and smaller houses of Mumbai.  Madhavan and Surve
