World Peace and Understanding Day: A day for all Rotary members to promote peace and understanding across the world
February month is considered to be very special in the Rotary calendar because it marks the first anniversary of Rotary meeting which is observed as World Peace and Understanding Day on February 23 every year.
On this day, Rotary International Board asks all the Rotary clubs to plan special programs for weekly meetings and take up special activities for promoting goodwill and understanding which is very much important for world peace.
Peace and understanding in modern world is much required than before as we have connected with the world really well through technology and various other sources. Rotary has always tried to bring this kind of peace and understanding in the world through its various projects.
The day actually gives a chance to every Rotary member to pause, think and promote peace, goodwill and understanding among people across the world. They make a world a better place to live in.
