Anti Tobacco Day: A day to quit all the tobacco related products

Tobacco is not a healthy alternative to all the existing problems across the world. It is just a temporary escape route from the world which makes you forget your problems for a while but ultimately you have to come back to the daily problems.  Tobacco causes great harm to your body if consumed on a regular basis. It is very important to quit tobacco completely or consume it in a limitation so that it does not harm your body. Tobacco has ruined many families and it has a negative impact on the midset of people.  On this day, let us try to quit tobacco if we are addicted to it and if not then encorgae and motivate others to quit the same as it is not an option for leading a healthy lifestyle.

The Last Hour: A series which will keep you hooked till the end

The Last Hour is a thriller series streaming on Amazon Prime. It has a great star cast and keeps you hooked till the end. The shooting has been done in Sikkim and the beautiful scenery makes the series all the more lovely.  All the actors have worked well in the series and we find many North East actors in the series which we might not have seen before. The villain of the series resembles a Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman. His acting reminds me of this wonderful actor and he plays the role of Yama Nadu very well.  The series has some edge of the seat moments that will make you jump out of the seat and the Bengali beauty Raima Sen despite having fewer dialogues acts through her body language. Sanjay Kapoor after many years has started getting his due finally.  In the end, I would like to conclude that this series can become a binge watch for you this weekend as it gives you goosebumps every time you watch it.

International Day of UN Peacekeepers: A day to honour all the peacekeepers who lost their lives

Everybody across the world wishes and wants peace. War has nothing to offer and this is a common theory. The main objective behind celebrating Peacekeepers Day is to recognize the efforts of civilians as well as uninformed individuals efforts to restore peace, especially those who work under the UN.  Around 4,000 peacekeepers have lost their lives to date. The threat of losing lives is on a sharp increase as COVID 19 is spreading all over the world and the vaccine is also not proving to be that effective when it comes to preventing the pandemic.  On this day, it is important to remember and salute all the peacekeepers dead or alive who have contributed to maintaining world peace and ensured that everyone across the world remain safe and sound.

Actors posting vacation pics on social media get schooled

This is one of the toughest times the human race is facing as the COVID has taken over the world and nobody knows exactly when this thing is going to end. The uncertainty of events and people dying has made the world a very negative place.  On top of this, we see many actors and actresses vacationing abroad and posting their pics as if all the good time in the world is being enjoyed by them. Annu Kapoor has called these actors insensitive. At this juncture when people are dying you do not have to post such photos.  This shows your mentality and the way you are insensible towards the happenings across the world. If you cannot do something for people on your own, at least help those who are doing it for them. The money and vacations are not going anywhere. It is humanity and life which matters the most.

Teen Do Paanch: A short and sweet series which will make you laugh and cry

In today's times, it is difficult to bear the expenses of a single child. What happens when you are loaded with a bunch full of five kids? Obviously, chaos, laughter, tension and many more emotions might occur in your mind.  This is what Hotstar Quickie Teen Do Paanch is all about. The couple who do not have any kids plan to adopt kids and they end up adopting three kids from an orphanage. After that, when the wife becomes pregnant it becomes difficult for the couple to manage two kids of their own and three adopted ones.  They return back the adopted kids to the orphanage but ultimately they realize that they cannot live without those kids and end up bringing them back and the series ends up with all the five kids together.  The cast of the series has talented powerhouses including Shreyas Talpade and Bidita Bag who bring in the flavour of comedy and sadness in the series. The three kids also act well. Their innocence attracts you to watch the series.  The series is...

November Story: A series which could have been more interesting

November Story is a series that has been dubbed in Hindi and stars Tammannah who has acted in some Bollywood movies as well. If we talk about the web series, all the characters have done their role perfectly according to the script. However, I feel that the story has been dragged more than it should have been. After a point of time, everything starts feeling monotonous instead of thrilling. After few episodes, the story starts repeating itself without any logic. The storyline makes this series a failure which could have been great had the episodes and duration lasted shorter. There are some moments where the audiences are left baffled and there are some areas where suspense is opened way too quickly.  The series can be watched if you love watching the South series otherwise after a point of time it offers nothing new and repeats itself at every point.

Sardar Ka Grandson: A movie which starts on a good note but fails to impart the message

Sardar Ka Grandson is currently streaming on Netflix and the movie no doubt starts on a good note of being together with the family and valuing the relationships we have. However, as the movie proceeds, it becomes more of a stretchy affair. The screenplay is stretched to one's patience and instead of giving goosebumps, it becomes boring. Arjun Kapoor who says that he will last longer has already shelved his career after few films he did initially.  Rakul Preet though a good actress fails to impress in this movie. The most promising role throughout the movie is Neena Gupta who plays the role of Sardar to perfection. Her innocence and childlike behaviour is a treat to watch.  You can watch this movie if you are a fan of Neena Gupta otherwise this movie has nothing new to offer apart from this. The message which starts with the movie is not carried well till the end.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is the most painful experience by Salman Khan

Every year on Eid, Salman Khan gives Eidi to his fans by releasing a film on the day. However, his last few films have tanked at the box office and Radhe is no different. I will be sharing my personal views of the movie below. I do not intend to hurt the fans of Salman Bhai but reality check the movie is nothing but a pain in the ass. You do not get any get good vibes after watching this movie as it does not have anything new and unique to offer. Even the songs are inserted forcefully in the movie. They make the movie more painful as the remake of Seeti Maar is nothing like the original Seeti Maar which had Allu Arjun, who is one of the best dancers down South.  The action is completely unreasonable. The cross-dressing by Jackie Shroff is not entertaining at all if that was the intent of the director. You can watch this movie only if you do not have anything meaty to watch otherwise it can be skipped conveniently.

World Turtle Day: A day to protect and save turtles from extinction

Turtles are aquatic animals who live underwater and have a very good life span. However, many people keep them as pets at their homes which is not a correct thing to do. The main reason behind celebrating this day is to increase knowledge and respect for tortoise and turtles and make people aware of them.  The day has been sponsored by American Tortoise Rescue since 2000 and encourages human action so that the creatures can survive and progress. It is one of the most important and effective species awareness days which can help in increasing the online information on turtles.  The day is celebrated across the world in several ways, from wearing green summer dresses to dressing up like turtles. International Day for Biological Diversity: A day to celebrate vast flora and fauna across the world

Biological diversity is very important across the world. It helps in balancing the environment. However, in recent times, we have witnessed that the balance between flora and fauna has been disturbed because of the reckless nature of mankind.  It is very important to preserve and conserve both flora and fauna so that our future generation does not have to suffer and they get a green and clean environment without any kind of trouble.  COVID 19 has clearly taught us that nature has its own way of punishing human beings. All the natural and man-made calamities teach us something or the other and this epidemic has taught us to preserve nature because it is now or never situation for us.

National Caesar Day: A day to recognize a cocktail loved by Canadians

The main reason behind celebrating National Caesar Day is to honour the cocktail loved by Canadians. Caesar has become a national drink of Canada ever since the Canadian government has made it official. Caesar does not resemble Bloody Mary.  A basic Caesar involves celery salt, vodka, ground pepper, hot sauce, lime wedge, celery stalk, clamato and Worcestershire sauce. Many people add lobsters, snacks, beans, pickled green beans, olives and bacon to their Caesar.  Caesar can be ideal for getting out of the hangover. It is offered with Bloody Mary and other drinks to cure the damage done last night. The day has been celebrated since 2015. Walter Chell, a bartender of Westin Hotel in Calgary invented spicy vodka drink in 1969.

Without a proper balance of flora and fauna, human beings cannot survive. Proper ecological balance is required for a sound and healthy environment. However, today we see that human beings kill animals for mere pleasure or for eating them.  They do not realize that excessive cutting of plants for trees and animals for luxurious uses can lead to their extinction and ultimately their population will get wiped out after a point of time. It is important to preserve the creatures that are left on the planet and protect them as far as possible.  On this day, let us make a point to protect all the species on the earth so that all of us can grow and survive together. Not all superheroes need to wear capes. There are many heroes carrying stethoscopes or caring for a person when they are ill. COVID 19 grappled the world with indecisiveness and in this situation, all the nurses came forward and helped people selflessly to fight the disease. A nurse is like a parent to the patient who is lying in the bed without knowing whether they will survive or not. They encourage the patients when they feel hopeless and take care of them like their own children. Nurses have time and again proved that they are no less than angels sent by God to help people.
