IBD or Inflammatory Bowel Disease is a series of intestinal disorders. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are two major types of IBD. The major cause of inflammatory bowel disease is the inflammation of the digestion tract.
The risk factors of the disease include smoking, age, genetics and a weak immune system. The treatment of the disease involves surgery, medication and diet and lifestyle improvement. Quitting smoking and drinking and regular exercise is highly recommended for those suffering from the disease.
Some of the common symptoms of the disease are arthritis, cramps, stomach ache, skin disorders, bloating, weight loss, diarrhoea, bowel obstruction, bleeding ulcers and rectal and genital fissures.
Some of the foods which can be consumed if you have IBD are white bread, bananas, eggs, rice and diluted juices. Some of the things you need to avoid are alcohol, meats, caffeine, fried foods and spicy food.
