Ravi Teja's action drama movie titled Mr Bachchan which created a lot of hype before its release failed to create magic at the box office. The movie is directed by Harish Shankar and was released in theatres on 15th August this year. The movie is now available on Netflix.
The movie is adapted from Raid where Ajay Devgn played the lead. However, the Telugu version has its own way of showing the film. The movie is about an Income Tax officer played by Ravi Teja who raids the house of a corrupt MP played by Jagapathi Babu.
The film marks the debut of Bhagyashri Borse who plays Teja's love interest, Jikki. Despite the wonderful plot and Ravi Teja's fan following the film could not bring audiences to the theatres. After 27 days of running in the theatres, the film is now available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on Netflix.
The film also has Sachin Khedekar, Subhalekha Sudhakar and Satya. The lack of a box office collection of the film also led to a great gesture from the film's team. Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar returned a major portion of their fees to cover the financial losses of the film. Ravi Teja returned 4 crore while Harish Shankar returned 2 crore.
One of the reasons for the film's disastrous performance is that the release date was heavily crowded as multiple films were released simultaneously on the same day.
