How online education is proving to be the biggest failure in India

Online school education in India during and beyond the pandemic | ORF

As we all know that the schools have been closed due to COVID 19 pandemic and the students have been taking online classes from the last few months. Online classes are becoming the biggest failures in India.

Some of the reasons for the failure of online classes are bad internet connectivity. Despite knowing that all the work around the world is being done online, the cellular networks are not increasing their network speed due to which the class gets hampered.

One of the other reasons can be that students do not have a habit to take classes online and that also on laptops and computers. They do not learn until they get scolded or shouted upon. That system has completely led to the failure of the classes as you do not know whether your concepts are clear to the students or not.

The teachers are also facing a lot of issues in taking online classes as all the matter needs to be written well before hand so that the explanation becomes easier. The setting up of the class like environment becomes very difficult at home.

There are many teachers who are not familaliar and comofrtable with laptops and computers and when they are being forced to take online classes students start abusing them or pull their leg. Both teachers and students as well as cellular networks need to undertsnad the importance of onlie education and work towards improving the quality of education to the best of their ability.

  3. Online conduct of virtual school classes in India has had to be as 'impromptu' an exercise as the COVID-19 has been a sudden, overwhelming event.
At the best of times, net connectivity and speed in the country has been awful. On the other hand, COVID could not have been expected to wait until the net situation came up to scratch.

    1. That's true that online classes are being taken due to COVID. But now as the situation is still not normal I feel the network operators should keep on working to improve the speed.

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking Netflix Controversy

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking has been released on Netflix recently and has already started creating controversy. There was a meeting of Netflix with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Tuesday and the OTT giant has committed that they will review their content so that they do not hurt the national sentiments of the country.  The series has created controversy because of the hijackers who were involved in the 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking. They have been given nicknames like Burger, Bhola, Shankar, Cheif and Doctor. Some people think this type of characterization shows the hijackers in a human light, leading to public outbursts.  The ministry demanded an explanation from Netflix India about such kind of insensitive and harmful elements in the series as there are real-life elements depicted in the series. However, Netflix has claimed that the series is made with all the public resources which includes government statements and books.  The hijacking was done by the...
