Is it right to blame Bollywood for nepotism?

We all know that Bollywood is full of glitz and glamour and star kids are coming into the picture rather than outsiders. People have started saying there is nepotism in Bollywood as deserving people are not getting a chance and the industry is being filled with star kids. However, I believe that blaming everything on nepotism is not a good idea.

This is because in every industry and sector there is nepotism to a great extent. If a candidate wants to become an IPS and someone from his family is already an IPS, he will try to refer his family member for the post even if they are non-deserving. Another instance of nepotism can be that during job interviews if there is someone who needs to be favoured will be favoured and all the others will be sent back home.

I agree that not all-star kids should be given chance in Bollywood but we should not forget that many actors have proved their mettle in acting despite coming from a star family which shows that they deserve more screen time. Thus, one should not blame Bollywood for nepotism because it exists everywhere.

The star kids have also started saying that the audience should be blamed for nepotism as they want to see a star kid more than a deserving actor which is correct to some extent because today the audience has become educated and you cannot fool them.

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking Netflix Controversy

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking has been released on Netflix recently and has already started creating controversy. There was a meeting of Netflix with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Tuesday and the OTT giant has committed that they will review their content so that they do not hurt the national sentiments of the country.  The series has created controversy because of the hijackers who were involved in the 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking. They have been given nicknames like Burger, Bhola, Shankar, Cheif and Doctor. Some people think this type of characterization shows the hijackers in a human light, leading to public outbursts.  The ministry demanded an explanation from Netflix India about such kind of insensitive and harmful elements in the series as there are real-life elements depicted in the series. However, Netflix has claimed that the series is made with all the public resources which includes government statements and books.  The hijacking was done by the...
