Runway 34 Movie Review: A film which is very well directed and scripted

Runway 34 is based loosely on the narrow escape of a flight from Doha to Kochi due to bad weather conditions and unclear visibility. Captain Vikrant Khanna played by Ajay Devgn who has also directed and produced the film is a pilot who is confident and a bit arrogant of his abilities when it comes to handling turbulences and crisis 35,000 above sea level. 

A routine flight from Dubai to Kochi encounters uncertain weather conditions. The captain of the plane changes its alternate route and sends out a Mayday message before landing the flight, narrowly escaping the crash against the advice of his first officer Tanya Albuqurque. The investigation of the case forms the crux of the film. 

The film marks Devgn's growth as a storyteller. The screenplay, crisp story and a cutting-edge visual treatment of the narrative with smart VFX uses, sound and production design of the film, no dramatic digression, interlude or romance moments of thrill which closes the first half are some of the plus points of the film. 

Though the movie is 2 hours and 28 minutes long, one does not feel the length because it is both thrilling and dramatic. The performances by Boman Irani, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay are outstanding and coincide with their characters.

The music of the film also mixes well with the film. Overall, the movie is a good one time watch especially for those who love thrill and drama.

As we all know that the schools have been closed due to COVID 19 pandemic and the students have been taking online classes from the last few months. National Pepper Pot Day: A dish that won the war

National Pepper Pot Day is celebrated to remember the dish that was nicknamed as the soup which won the war. The day is marked annually on December 29. There was a very terrible and ruthless cold in 1777-1778.  The Continental Army was fighting for the newly formed United States of America during the Revolutionary War. As the soldiers camped at Valley Forge in 1997 on December 29, George Washington asked the chef of the army to make a meal which would warm them and boost their spirits.  The chef took some tripe, pieces of meat, pepper and other ingredients and made Pepper Pot Soup, which was also known as Philadelphia Pepper Pot Soup.
