Jayeshbhai Jordaar Trailer Review: Ranveer Singh walks on the path of Ayushmann Khurrana to educate people
Bollywood is known for blindly following trends. If someone starts doing educative films, other stars also start following the same. Similar is the case with Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. He follows the path of Ayushmann Khurrana to educate people.
Ranveer's role in Jayeshbhai is something which we have not witnessed before. Ranveer plays the role of a Gujarati man who is on a spree along with his pregnant wife. The reason is his father played by Boman Irani is a village sarpanch and wants a male heir to run the village.
The trailer of the film discusses infanticide, misogyny and gender disparity. Ranveer plays the role of a boy next door who is a very relatable character. He is under the thumb of his father. In the film, he fights his father, his weaknesses and the society to save his wife played by Shalini Pandey who is pregnant with second daughter.
The trailer has attracted attention because of Ranveer's Gujarati accent, along with local detailing and set-up. The movie has been filled with humour so that it is not preachy. The film marks the debut of Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey in Bollywood.
The film also features Ratna Pathak Shah. The film was supposed to clash with Ayushmann Khurrana's Anek. Anek producers have changed their dates to May 27. Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be released on May 13.
