Hurdang Trailer Review: A movie which raises an important issue on caste based reservation

The trailer of Hurdang has been released online and we see an important issue raised in the film which is the caste-based reservation. The movie features Sunny Kaushal and Nushratt Bharucha in lead roles. The film also has Vijay Varma and is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt. 

Sunny Kaushal plays the role of a middle-class UP boy who is keen on becoming an IPS officer but gives up his dream to fight against reservation. In between all this, we see the romance blossoming between the lead actors. 

Vijay Varma is in the role of an influential student leader who controls college politics. The trailer showcases Sunny's goal of becoming an IPS officer who ultimately moves to politics and becomes an MLA. 

The movie will release on April 8 and is inspired by the 1990 protests against the implementation of the Mandal Commissions' recommendation to have a 27% quota in government jobs and public universities for OBCs. The movie is a romantic drama and shows what happened in those few months.
