Justice delayed is justice denied. However, this is not the case with the below poverty line class. They have to keep on waiting for years and ears to get justice for themselves. Jalsa is a movie where we see a maid's daughter meets with an accident when a car runs on her.
The maid is desperate for justice for her daughter. However, we see that her madam is behind the accident and she tries to cover up this incident to an extent. Somewhere or the other her conscience pricks her for doing wrong but she keeps on denying it.
After a point of time, she confesses her mistake at the end and we see that the movie is full of the complex thought processes of each and every character where they are in dilemma whether to be honest or dishonest.
Contrary to its theme, Jalsa name is very much confusing as there is no celebration happening in the movie. Then we see a surprising entry of a political figure who is celebrating his birthday after whom the movie is called Jalsa.
Overall, the movie is a decent watch and it can be watched if you love watching thrillers and complex cinema.
