World Autism Awareness Day is celebrated on April 2 every year to raise awareness about people suffering from autistic spectrum disorders including Asperger syndrome and autism around the world. It is an official international day declared by the United Nations.
The day brings together all the individual autism organizations across the world to lend their assistance in things like treatment, diagnosis, acceptance and treatment for all those who have been affected by autism.
Some of the major components of the day include encouraging the Member States to raise awareness levels of autism in the society, inviting member states and all other organizations to the UN to create initiatives that are to be spread on the day and asking UN Secretary-General to delivers this message to all the organizations and member states.
On this day, we can read and learn more about autism and how this disease can be prevented and cured through medical science.
