World Meteorological Day: A day to celebrate the foundation of an organization for forecasting weather
World Meteorological Day is celebrated every year on March 23 by World Meteorological Organization in order to commemorate its establishment in 1950. The day highlights the contribution of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services for safety and well being of society and is celebrated with different activities round the world.
The common themes chosen on this day range from climate, topical weather or water related issues. The ocean and weather are interrelated to each other. If there is a turmoil in the ocean bed, it is bound to affect the climate in a wrong manner.
