National Cheese Doodle Day is held every year on March 5 and is an annual celebration where fingers turn cheesy orange while indulging in the tasty and crispy snack item. These snacks are found all over the world and are coated with cheddar cheese. They can be either baked, fried, crunchy or puffed.
The inventor of Cheese Doodles is controversial. The credit normally goes to a man called Morrie Yohai who made different kinds of snack foods in the 1940s for his family company called Old London Foods. There are similar kinds of products made in 1930s in New Orleans and Wisconsin.
Though the origin is unclear, today they are enjoyed all across the world due to crunchiness and its orange colour. They come in different sizes, flavours and shapes and 15 million pounds of the product are produced annually.
On this day, we can add cheese doodles or some orangish snack to our meal. There are many recipes related to cheese doodles that can be checked online.
