International Day of Happiness: A day to make yourself and others happy

In the modern world, happiness has tend to become a luxury that cannot be enjoyed by everybody. Due to the stress and tension surrounding people, they have forgotten to laugh out and enjoy their lives.

The major aim of celebrating the International Day of Happiness is to bring back smiles on people's face in whatever manner possible. The day has been officially declared by the United Nations. You can take happiness coaching, webinars by experts and join communities that promote happiness.

Always remember that you are not alone. If you ever feel sad or depressed, talk to someone you can trust as this will make you feel lighter and stress-free. Take care of yourself by having a proper diet, sleeping and exercising well and connect with people you love to see the positivity around you.

At times, it's okay if you do not feel okay as you might be struggling with vast emotions which is understandable and common. In case you do not have anyone to talk to, consult a therapist or go for counselling as it will help you open up.

To celebrate this day well, you can do something for your happiness like indulging in an activity that makes you feel happier and do something which can make others happy by donating to charities or volunteering for a social cause or calling others and making them feel how special they are.

You can also help others on this day by discussing mental health and ways to keep your mind healthy by filling it up with positive thoughts.

Floods are a natural calamity that ruins houses, wildlife, crops and takes life of many people as well. People were already suffering from COVID 19 and the floods made it even more worse this year. The people were not safe inside their houses as well.  Floods forced everyone to come outside their houses and gather in a single place or ask for help. The condition of the people had become very miserable and the government came forward to help them in these tragic times.  They tried their best to help the people by providing them food and shelter so that they are not rendered homeless. There were many non-governmental organizations that came forward and helped the people in times of need and emergency.  It is really saddening to see the situation that has taken over the world and we can only hope and pray that things are returned to their complete normal self so that everybody can leave peacefully and comfortably.
