National Disaster Response Force or NDRF Raising Day: A force to respond to all natural disasters within short time
National Disaster Response Force or NDRF is a specialized force which has been formed to address the threatening disaster situation or disaster under the Disaster Management Act. The central body of Disaster Management in India is the National Disaster Management Authority or NDMA.
NDMA is chaired by the Prime Minister of India. The responsibility of managing disasters in India lies on the shoulders of the State Government. If a severe calamity occurs, the Central Government is responsible for providing assistance and aid to the affected state by taking the help of different organizations and enabling the communication system.
The NDRF has many decorated officials who help in preventing disasters and if any disaster occurs they take all the measures to prevent it which in turn helps in minimizing the loss of lives.
