All the darkness of the world can be removed only by lightening the world with diyas and candles. It is a very festive day of the holiday season but is not related to cultural or religious Christmas celebration. The candle lighting ceremony on this day is a symbol of support and compassion for each other by families who grieve for their lost child.
The day is supported by churches, hospitals, funeral homes, school, cemeteries, memorial gardens, community centres and other public places. It is very difficult to compensate for the loss of a child irrespective of the age he passes away as it creates a void in the heart of the loved ones.
On this Worldwide Candle Lighting Day, let us stand for those who lost their kids and give them love and support by lighting the candles and spreading light in their hearts.
