Preserving energy whether it is renewable or non-renewable is very important as it forms the base of survival of mankind. It has been celebrated since 1991 and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under Ministry of Power celebrates the day every year.
It makes people more aware of the various sources of energy and how one can preserve it naturally. The different kinds of activities conducted by the Bureau are painting competition for school kids and the National Energy Conservation Awards.
On this day, let us take a pledge to conserve all forms of energy and learn more about them so that we can make our future generation more aware of the same.
