International Day of Neutrality is celebrated to bring peace, friendly and mutually beneficial relationship between different countries. A neutral country means that it is not going to take and side when there is a conflict between other nations. There are many nations like Costa Rica, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Turkmenistan and Liechtenstein.
Though these countries are not involved in the war but few of them have a large military presence. Meditation, diplomacy, early conflict warnings and fact-finding missions help to maintain the neutrality of these countries. Negotiations, informal consultation and special envoys are also used by countries for neutrality. It is not an easy task to maintain neutrality.
International Neutrality Day can be observed by learning more about the day and trying to maintain peace and calm within us to avoid the situation of war as one person can lead to a war-like situation for the country.
