There was a time when we loved listening to recording on tapes and gramophones. Those times have now been completely forgotten as the tapes and recorders have been replaced by YouTube and the Internet and people can access everything whether audio or visual by using the latest technology.
As time progressed, people forgot about tapes but still, we find many people who love listening to radio, tapes and gramophones. World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is celebrated mainly to preserve all the audio transcription and recordings which can be converted into video in near future for future generations.
So, on this World Day for Audiovisual Heritage let us do whatever we can to preserve the rich transcription recordings and heritage we have with us so that we become enriched from both heart and mind.
