International Mole Day is actually an unofficial holiday for all the chemistry students, chemists and all those who are interested in chemistry in any manner. Mole Day is actually derived from an article in The Science Teacher in early 1980s.
The article then inspired Maurice Oehler who is a retired high school chemistry teacher from Wisconsin to lay the foundation of an institute called National Mole Day Foundation or NMDF on May 15,1991.
Mole Day is a very important day of National Chemistry Week which is organized by the American Chemical Society every year. I wish all the people interested in chemistry a very Happy International Mole Day and wish that the knowledge of chemistry is used for positive progress of the world.
