Calamities whether man-made or natural cause a lot of damage and harm to livelihood and brings life to a standstill temporarily. It brings a lot of harm and damage and if not controlled in time it can take many more lives and cause harm to different sectors of the country.

United Nations World Calamity Control Day is celebrated in order to make more and more people and organizations aware about all the natural and man-made calamities occurring all around the world and measures through which they can be stopped effectively.

The day makes people aware of how they can protect themselves from a calamity so that their lifestyle can be improved. Recently, we have seen how COVID 19 brought the life of the people to a standstill and there are still vaccines being prepared for fighting the virus.
