Why National Award is much more worthy and respectful than other awards?

All of us know that there are different award shows in India. However, all of them are fixed. Let us discuss about National Awards which I think is one of the most respected, worthy and a non-fixed honour bestowed on people from different fields.

National Award is given by President of India and there is no compulsion as to who is attending and who is not. People getting the National Award are much more respected by all as compared to when they receive other awards.

National Awards makes us recognize the hidden talent and gems of the country. They are distributed in different categories among different people and given accordingly. Since childhood, I had been a big fan of award shows but little did I know that they are fixed. After knowing this fact, I stopped watching these shows altogether.

I believe that award should not be given to a person because they have good links or good looks but because they are talented enough to deserve the honour. National Award is exactly the award which respects talent and not looks or links.
