As everybody knows, Janmashthani is celebrated in the memory of the birth of Lord Krishna. He came to this world to remove evil and establish humanity. He was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. His birth is celebrated all over the world, especially in Vrindavan.
However this year the COVID 19 pandemic has brought the world to a screeching halt. It has become difficult to celebrate festivals this year with full pomp and show as social distancing norms are being practiced by all.
This year the Dahi Handi and grand celebration at Vrindavan has been canceled due to the pandemic and everybody will be missing that.
Nonetheless, as they say the show must go on the people will celebrate Janmashtami at their homes by preparing sweets, worshipping the Lord, observing fast and going to temple.
