Donate Blood on World Blood Donor Day

Donating blood is said to be one of the noble deeds done by an individual. It highlights your love for mankind and how much you care for people. There are many people we know or we might not even know who needs blood donation to survive. If we donate our blood in blood banks or by directly going to hospitals, we can save a life and give a new life to the family members of the one who is suffering.

Every individual has different blood group. The blood groups are A, B, AB and O. All the blood groups further have negative and positive RhD which means that there are a total of 8 blood groups. Blood group O- is a universal donor while AB+ is a universal recipient. All the other blood groups can take and give blood from the person belonging to their blood group. 

Many people can benefit from your blood donation. There might be villages or places where people need blood and your donation might help them in timely access to blood. Thus, I appeal to everyone to donate blood especially on World Donor Day which falls on June 14.
