Bollywood Supports the Ban of Chinese Goods : Will it Inspire Common People to do the Same?

The "Boycott China" campaign on social media has received the support of many celebrities including Arshad Warsi, Milind Soman and Ranvir Shorey. Arshad Warsi has already said on Twitter that now he will be cautiously using Chinese goods. 

He wrote, "I am consciously going to stop using everything that is Chinese. As they are a part of most of the things we use, it will take time but I know, one day I'll be Chinese free. You should try it too". Milind Soman, actor-model said that he is no longer a part of short video making app TikTok. 

Soman tweeted, "Am no longer on tiktok. #BoycottChineseProducts." Ranvir Shorey had also extended support for the campaign by writing "Bilkul. Beshaq. #BoycottChina." TV actress Kamya Punjabi also requested her Twitter family to purchase only Indian goods. 

She wrote, "I never had such apps on my phone. Would like to request all who have commercials attached with such chinese products to use alternative Be Indian buy Indian #BoycottChineseProducts."

Raaj Shaandilyaa, Dream Girl director also asked people to join "Boycott China" movement. He tweeted, "Boycott "MADE IN CHINA" movement ka hissa bane... aur apne desh ki pragati main yogdaan dein. Jai Hind Jai Bharat. (be a part of the boycott Made In China movement and help in the prosperity of your country.) #BoycottMadeInChina."

Atul Kasbekar, a celebrity photographer also praised US President Donald Trump for his speech against China. He wrote "You can make all the memes you want about Pres. Trump but you have to admire the guts he's shown in taking on the Chinese govt. Fact is they've shown no sense of accountability for the pandemic and someone needed to call them out. Rest of the world should join in isolating them."

The hashtags #BoycottChina and #BoycottChineseProducts started trending on Twitter when educator and innovator Sonam Wangchuk whose life inspired the film 3 Idiots had shared a clip on YouTube appealing to all to ban Chinese Goods. He requested this because of the increasing tension between India and China in Ladakh. After that, many Bollywood celebs followed the news. 

Let us hope that after the celebs ban on Chinese products the common man will also understand its implications and ban all the goods from China.

As we all know that the schools have been closed due to COVID 19 pandemic and the students have been taking online classes from the last few months. Online classes are becoming the biggest failures in India. Some of the reasons for the failure of online classes are bad internet connectivity. National Pepper Pot Day: A dish that won the war

National Pepper Pot Day is celebrated to remember the dish that was nicknamed as the soup which won the war. The day is marked annually on December 29. There was a very terrible and ruthless cold in 1777-1778.  The Continental Army was fighting for the newly formed United States of America during the Revolutionary War. As the soldiers camped at Valley Forge in 1997 on December 29, George Washington asked the chef of the army to make a meal which would warm them and boost their spirits.  The chef took some tripe, pieces of meat, pepper and other ingredients and made Pepper Pot Soup, which was also known as Philadelphia Pepper Pot Soup.
