TikTok Ban In India

TikTok has been facing a lot of banter recently owing to its content and posts. The TikTokers without understanding the implications of their posts have posted some really offensive videos and have criticized YouTubers as they think that they are more powerful than the YouTubers who are earning crores of rupees through one video.

My question is: Is TikTok necessary for people? What else do people do apart from posting videos and messages some of which are really offensive on the platform? Before TikTok came into existence, people were still having a life. It is not that without TikTok there will be nothing to munch on.

If we see the ratings, TikTok has got only one-star rating on PlayStore which itself says that people are hell-bent on removing TikTok from India. YouTubers have visited Hollywood and taken interviews of various celebrities while TikTok cannot even reach Bollywood. In my opinion, instead of comparing yourself or imitating others just do something of your own.

If the TikTokers do not take out something of their own and keep on criticizing and offending others, they are not going to last long. You can criticize someone only if you know them, understand them and their situations.

If you ask me whether TikTok should be banned or not, I think that if there is no meaningful contribution of the app towards the people and society then it should be definitely banned. I would like to end my blog on the note to TikTokers Ya Toh Kuch Acha Karo Nahi Toh Dusra Source Dhundo Kamane Ka.

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking Netflix Controversy

IC 814 Kandahar Hijacking has been released on Netflix recently and has already started creating controversy. There was a meeting of Netflix with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Tuesday and the OTT giant has committed that they will review their content so that they do not hurt the national sentiments of the country.  The series has created controversy because of the hijackers who were involved in the 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking. They have been given nicknames like Burger, Bhola, Shankar, Cheif and Doctor. Some people think this type of characterization shows the hijackers in a human light, leading to public outbursts.  The ministry demanded an explanation from Netflix India about such kind of insensitive and harmful elements in the series as there are real-life elements depicted in the series. However, Netflix has claimed that the series is made with all the public resources which includes government statements and books.  The hijacking was done by the...
