Chef is available on Amazon Prime and stars Jon Favreau. The movie is all about starting afresh and reigniting old passion both personally and professionally. The movie starts with Favreau having a fight at the restaurant he works which ultimately leads to quitting his job ad starting a food truck in Miami.
This helps him in reuniting with his ex-wife and child. The movie is directed by Favreau and a Bollywood movie of the same name was released which could not gain as much popularity as the former gained.
2. Khoobsurat
Khoobsurat is a classic movie directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee available on Netflix. The movie is all about order and rules which need to be followed in a household. When a young girl played by Rekha comes in the picture and revolts against it, the story takes a new turn.
The movie could have been serious at this time but the humor is retained in the movie throughout.
3. Tu Hai Mera Sunday
The movie is available on Netflix and is the story of five friends. The movie has many feel-good moments in it. The story is from the point of view of five different Indians which is marked with humor, tenderness and warmth. It also reminds what can happen when we open up by leaving aside the criticism.
4. Angoor
Angoor available on Amazon Prime is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors. The movie is directed by famous Indian lyricist Gulzaar and it is a delightful comedy. It is filled with warmth and innocence and has a very nutty conclusion.
5. Harishchandrachi Factory
The movie is all about backstage when Dadasaheb Phalke created the first Indian film Raja Harishchandra. It has a lot of gentle humor and is filled with perseverance and curiosity. The movie is an example of Marathi New Wave and was released in 2009. The movie is streaming on Netflix.
