National Read Across America Day is celebrated all across America on March 2 to celebrate the birthday of Dr Seuss. The day is celebrated on the nearest school day of the country as it encourages students to read as much as possible.
Though the day is celebrated or Dr Seuss's birthday and it asks people to read as much as possible but it is not restricted to Dr Seuss's books and spreads across all the books across the world. It inculcates reading habits in children and makes them realize the benefit of reading.
Reading is said to be the food for mind and soul as it takes us to a fantasy world and enhances our imagination to a greater level. It gives us the power to create new things and think out of the box. It is one of the best hobbies which one can include in our daily life.
On this day, one can read as many books as possible and ask their loved ones to do the same. We can also gift books to others if possible so that they can read and broaden their vision.
