It is a known fact that reading is one of the best mind exercises as it makes us creative and enhances our imagination. The children who listen to bedtime stories can perform well in all the fields as their mindset becomes broad.

The major reason behind celebrating International Read to Me Day is to enhance the mindset of children and increase literacy across the world through books. It has been established by Child Writes Foundation who encourage the spread and growth of adult literacy.

Adult literacy is a major problem across the world as adults do not take up the hobby of reading even for pleasure. It is a fact that if bedtime stories are read to you as a child, you can harbour reading as a hobby as an adult.

The holiday mainly focuses on children but has now been extended to adults as well. Reading to someone can make you feel closer to a person. Reading stories to your partner brings a better sense of togetherness than watching a movie together.

The day can be celebrated by reading out a story for your loved ones. It can be your partner or your child as it is a good way fo ending the night. Reading can increase your vocabulary and you can build bonds with people and healthily communicate with them.

National Blonde Brownie Day: A day to indulge in the much loved dessert
