7 Fruits To Consume During Summer



As the summer heat is increasing it is important to keep yourself hydrated and cool. There are many artificial drinks available in the market which will harm your health instead of helping you. There are many fruits available in summer which can be consumed for good health. Some of them are being described below. 

1. Mango 

Mango is known as king of fruits and is available in plenty during summer. It has many vitamins and nutrients. Vitamin A, C, D, iron, potassium, calcium are abundantly available in mangoes. The pectin and fibers in the fruit help in fighting cholesterol and other nutrients control heart rate and blood pressure. It boosts immunity during the season.  

2. Papaya 

The fruit can be used dried, ripe or unripe. It has many medicinal properties. They are rich in Vitamin A, C, phytochemicals and folate. The fruit has papain, which fights GI tract sickness and indigestion. They have high amount of beta carotene. Cancer, diabetes, bloating, heart diseases can be cured by the fruit. 

3. Watermelon 

Watermelon is the most demanded fruit of the season. It is hydrating and contains Vitamin A, C, B6, dietary fibers, amino acids, iron, calcium etc. It also has lycopene which is a carotenoid phytonutrient and is good for cardiovascular health and bone. 

4. Litchi 

Litchi is the second most demanded fruit of the season after mango. It is filled with nutrients like potassium which is good for blood pressure and maintaining sodium, vitamin B and C which are antioxidants boost immunity and produce red blood cells. It also has polyphenols. 

5. Musk Melon

Musk Melon has Vitamin C and A. It also has lutein and zeaxanthin which helps in improving eyesight. It is also a hydrating fruit during summer. 

6. Pineapple 

It is not a fruit but individual berries with a central stalk. It is one of the best tropical fruits which burns calories, boosts metabolism, regulates hypertension and is anti-inflammatory. 

7. Plum 

Plums are small round shaped nutrients filled with nutrients. The fruit has sorbitol, fibers, isatin which is helpful in constipation and digestion. It reduces the chances of stroke and reduces high blood pressure. It reduces the chances of Type 2 diabetes and breast cancer. It has 30 calories and good for dieting.


Thus, one should always include these fruits in their diet.

Malaika Arora's father commits suicide, investigation continues

  In a shocking turn of events, actor Malaika Arora's father Anil Arora has committed suicide. He jumped from his apartment building in Bandra around 9 in the morning. Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Ananya Panday have also visited her residence for the last rites.  Malaika Arora's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, also visited her with brother Sohail, sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and parents Salim and Salma Khan. Malaika and Arbaaz separated in 2017 but continued to co-parent Arhaan, their son. The police are still investigating the cause of death.  Malaika's parents got divorced during her childhood. The reason for the suicide remains unclear as no suicide note has been recovered and the body has been sent for post-mortem. Malaika was not in Mumbai when the news of the suicide came out. She rushed back from Pune after hearing the news.
